A recent survey by Parago, a benefits consulting company, of 600 employee nationwide, has shown that your year-end employee rewards may cost less than you think. Taking the time and budget during the holiday season to thank your employees can go along way and according to Parago's survey 61% of employees would be satisfied witha $25 gift card, and 88% of employees would be satisfied with a gift card of $100 or less.
These small rewards send a message to employees of appreciation for their hard-work and for all of the energy they put in to their jobs throughout the year. Small rewards like gift cards to useful retailers such as Albertsons to help employees with their holiday food shopping, or Burlington Coat Factory to ease the financial burden of holiday shopping have been proven to increase retention rates, and employee satisfaction. Spending $25-$100 per employee at the end of the year is proven to lead to happier employees who will be motivated into 2013 to continue their dedication and hard work for your organization.
